I spotted this beautiful rainbow on our way to San Diego!
Shalom Everyone,
We enjoyed our visit today with the folks at Kehilat Ariel in San Diego and wished our KA Yuma friends could have joined in the blessings of the Shabbat service. The congregation is looking forward to meeting the Yuma group during our next visit, which I anticipate will take place in June. When, during today’s Yom HaShoah (Holocaust Remembrance Day) service Allen and I were invited to light one of eight candles in commemoration of those who perished in the concentration camps, Rabbi Barney introduced us as the couple who is starting the Yuma havurah. To my surprise, the congregation responded with applause! By this I was reminded that the KA folks are praying for us in support of our work here in Yuma. I also felt, and feel, a deep connection with the Kehilat Ariel family that I would love for you to experience too.
Therefore, I hope you will make plans to caravan with us this June as we head back to Kehilat Ariel for Shabbat service. It is a very special privilege and blessing to join with the larger community of Messianic Jews and Gentiles who love and serve the Messiah in a Jewish context!
